Father God

As we think of the many ways Jesus brought you to us, we also know there were times when you were present in miraculous ways.  When Jesus was baptised you spoke, and again when he was bathed in your Spirit on the mountain top.  You said to all who could hear, "This is my son.  I am pleased with him. Listen to him."

May we listen and listen and go on listening, so that we do hear the words Jesus said and the wisdom he had for us.  Be with us in our listening and in our living.
