God of Peace

Today we thought about Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey - a symbol of humility and peace.  We also remembered that he raged in anger when he saw the money changers and sellers of sacrificial animals trading in the sacred halls of the temple.  Such a contrast.

Just as Jesus did, we have conflicting and opposing emotions.  We try to follow Jesus as peace makers and peace lovers, but we rage against the evil and tragedy in the world.

Help us know you love us in all of our emotions and reactions, that you understand our frustrations and our anger, and and our wish to be more like you Son.

We ask you to bless us particularly during this Holy Week.
